The Problem with Modi

The majority of people in this country, still believe that PM Modi has been a strong democratic leader. However, if enough people believe in what is false, that doesn't make it the truth. But wait, Narendra Modi is a strong leader, my friends would say, well not exactly. Though he may be democratically elected as an MP and then the Prime Minister, his behavior after his victory in the subsequent years has been anything but.
To understand modi's behavior we need to know what affected his character. The RSS has been the greatest influence on the prime minister, however there is one more thing more precisely an incident. The Gujarat riots of 2002 has been the most controversial phase of Mr. Modi's life. The riots which took place roughly after 5 months of him becoming the chief minister, has been the one blot on his administrative career. Whether you may believe or not that he didn't do enough to save the minorities, we can all agree the English media was not kind to him. And rightfully so, I mean those who protect Mr. modi must realize, that he was the executive of that state, and whatever happens its his responsibility. This led to him becoming hostile towards media, and I believe it first have came from a misplaced sense of protecting himself.
The argument against that may be that, he can be combative with the press without totally ignoring them. Many would say that he doesn't ignore the press, he gives interview to different media outlets. Well, I strongly question the merit of the questions asked by those journalists in their interviews. He hasn't given an interview to NDTV, now hold on let may say it. I know that NDTV has been anti-BJP and anti-Modi. But that's the point, confronting your opposition on key issues is the mark of a strong leader. Whatever you may think of the left wing media, you may agree that we need a press which is skeptical of the government. That is the beauty of democracy. The evasive nature of the prime minister towards media is the real sign of his insecurities. The fear that they would ask the question which will be critical of him or his policies, still cripples him.

Crazy experience

I'm on a 7 day trip to greater noida. I first arrived in New Delhi to attend an exam, which was on 25th June. I was with my friend, and we both stayed the night of 24th June in a hotel, near new delhi railway station. Now what i'm about to write next may require a leap of faith. So we were sitting in our room at the hotel, and we started checking the location of our exam centre. We just wanted to check it's distance from the station. Google maps showed the distance to be over 2000 km. We were confused, as one should have been. Then my friend checked our location, and it was Lahore.

He thought there must be something wrong with the wifi of the hotel. So I checked the location by using my data connection, and still was lahore. We thought there is something wrong the hotel. But could be wrong, it's not like we were in a parallel universe. EXCATLY.

Now before you say that's a bunch of bullshit, hear me out. We don't know if the theory of parallel universe is true or not. If it hasn't been proved, that doesn't mean it cannot exist. I was always iffy on the theory. But after the incident, I believe it.

I believe that me and my friend were in an alternate reality, where India and Pakistan were never separated. I know it's controversial, but hey freedom of speech right.

Captain America : Civil War Review (Spoilers)

The 13th movie in the MCU, Captain America : civil war is the 3rd in the captain America trilogy and pretty good. Although it is not the best MCU movie up to date, but it's definitely in my top 5.

1. STORY

It is a loose adaption of Civil war storyline published by Marvel comics. Although it is very different, and its hard to recreate it in a single movie. That storyline is so huge that it would take at least 5 movies. However, the does a pretty good job by making it realistic as possible, but it still about bucky (the winter soldier) which totally undermines the stake of Civil war. But still the story is solid. And the ending was predictable with iron man learning that bucky killed his parents.

2. CHARACTER POTRAYALS

The potrayal of cap and Tony are remarkable and definitely stand outs. Black widow had nothing to do in the story beside of turning on iron man. Black panther was solid, although he didn't talk much. Spider man, he was great but he had no business appearing in civil war. All the other supporting characters were good.

3. VILLIAN

Daniel bruhl is a very good actor and he portrays zemo pretty well. But I think that the villian was not well written. A superhero movie is as good as it's villian .

Now, the big  question, was this is the best superhero movie of all time?
I don't think so, there is still no movie that tops the dark knight trilogy for me. I even don't think it's the best MCU movie. But it still pretty good.

FINAL VERDICT: 80%
